Beaminster Young Farmers is a thriving club for any young person aged between 10-26yrs. They currently have 45 members including, Farmers, Carpenters, Engineers, and people attending School and University. We meet on alternate Tuesday nights at Beaminster Youth Centre, 7.30pm – 9pm, we have a great social life, joining other clubs and other counties at Party’s and Balls. We also take part in South West Area and National Competitions. All members really enjoy taking part in county sports activities, club visits and many more county events. The club is a great place for meeting new people and making friends, some of us met at School in Beaminster, and we have other members who have come from Woodroffe and Sir John Colfox School. We try to keep the meetings fun and busy, we have recently held an Easter Bingo, and our club represented Dorset at the ‘Just a Minute’ and ‘Situations Vacant’ competitions at South West Area in Weymouth. We are doing a lot of fundraising and this year on Saturday 2nd July, we are holding a Barn Dance to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity chosen by our members. There are so many opportunities for everyone in Young Farmers, team sports, worldwide travel, public speaking, and even potential love life !!! – All you have to do is come along and join in !!
