September has been a month of AGMs signifying the start of another YFC year. With new membership forms, a new team of club officers and of course upcoming competitions. I am particularly looking forward to going to all the harvest suppers over the next month or so. Already a selection of invites provide me some insight into the variety of themes clubs have chosen this year. October will be a busy month indeed!
Shortly you will begin to hear of the upcoming competitions, please do get involved where you can. If your club can’t make a full team there may be other clubs in the same situation to make one up with. They are great experiences and quite often you’ll have fun as well!
The other main development is with the proposed ‘vote of no confidence’ in NFYFC Board of management. Hopefully you’ve all had a chance to read the email sent round on my behalf and voted. I will take the opinions of Dorset members to SWA meeting on 7th October. I will send an update round of any developments from that meeting before the council meeting 21st October where the vote will be proposed.
Finally we held the first rally 2019/20 meeting on 23rd September which was very productive. The next meeting will be included in our next exec meeting on 16th October if any parents are interested in helping out then get in touch.
All the best.
